Frame Beverly provides professional canvas stretching in Los Angeles and West Hollywood for original paintings, canvas prints, photography on canvas, and other artwork supplied on canvas. Each piece is carefully stretched by hand over durable wooden stretcher bars to create even tension and a clean, professional finish.
Whether your artwork arrives rolled, needs to be re-stretched, or needs to be prepared before custom framing, our canvas stretching is completed in-house at our Beverly Boulevard frame shop. We work with customers throughout West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and the surrounding Los Angeles area.
Proper canvas stretching provides the structure needed to display artwork cleanly while helping maintain consistent tension across the canvas. The canvas is carefully positioned over appropriately sized stretcher bars and tensioned evenly so the finished piece sits flat and square.
We stretch original paintings as well as photographic and fine-art prints produced on canvas. If you purchased artwork that was shipped rolled, received an unstretched canvas directly from an artist, or have an existing canvas that needs attention, we can assess the piece and recommend the appropriate approach.

Buying artwork rolled rather than already stretched can make shipping and transportation considerably easier, particularly for larger pieces. Once it arrives, however, the canvas needs a properly sized support before it can be displayed or framed.
Frame Beverly can stretch rolled canvas artwork onto custom-sized stretcher bars, creating the structure and tension needed for a finished presentation. This is common with original artwork purchased directly from artists, artwork brought home from travel, and canvas prints ordered online.

Canvas can sometimes loosen, sag, or lose even tension over time. Existing artwork may also need to be removed from old stretcher bars when it is being reframed or when the original support is no longer suitable.
We can inspect an existing stretched canvas to determine whether re-stretching is appropriate and discuss the best way to prepare it for display or custom framing.

A stretched canvas can be displayed on its own or incorporated into a custom framing design. If you plan to frame the finished canvas, we can coordinate the stretching dimensions and framing so the two parts of the project are designed together.
Customers looking for a visible space between the canvas and the surrounding frame can also explore our canvas float framing options.
